Miami Construction

That's the look of a booming real estate market.

Miami Beach South Beach

These were taken Saturday. The clouds were starting to roll in fast. Saturday night was a huge thunderstorm - bad enough to delay my flight by 2 hours.

Miami Beach Ocean Drive

Ocean Drive is the main drag down South Beach. There are tons of great hotels and restaurants, and it's right on the beach. A very cool place.

Miami Beach Hotel Views

This is the view from the top of the hotel that I stayed at. At one end is a rooftop pool, and other other end is a swanky little bar with overpriced drinks. Nice view though.

Miami Pics

The drive to the hotel. As you can see, the weather was flawless. Little did I know it would be thunderstorming 24 hours from now.

San Francisco Skyline at Night

These were taken from Treasure Island, which is about the only place to get a good skyline shot of San Francisco.

Old Artillery Bunker in Marin

It was too foggy for sunset pictures, so I took a few of this large bunker. Imagine the size of the cannon that sat in this hole.

These old bunkers are all over the place in Marin. It's a great place to go hiking.

Golden Gate Bridge from Above

These were taken from the Marin Headlands. The first shot is from an old Army bunker, used until World War 2 to defend the bay. There are the remnants of very large gun turrets up there hidden in the hills. A very cool place if you're into California military history.

Golden Gate Bridge from Below

One of my favorite landmarks. I've never taken a picture from this angle before, and I'm very happy with the results.

Tiburon California. Where all the rich folks live.

Angel Island. Open to hikers, bikers, and campers. You have to take a boat to get there.

Pier 39 in San Francisco

Pier 39 in San Francisco, a total tourist trap, but the food ain't bad and if you come on a weeknight you get free parking. The views ain't bad either.

Pomponio Beach Fog

It was a foggy and cold - not uncommon for Northern California beaches. However, it wasn't too cold to walk in the sand and put my feet in the pacific ocean. These were taken at Pomponio Beach about 11 miles south of Half Moon Bay, California.
